Covid-19 Update: March 18, 2020
As we are sure you are aware, President Trump has declared a national emergency because of the COVID-19 illness that is rapidly spreading in our country. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending an 8-week period of “Social Distancing”. The CDC also recommends that organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the U.S.
You can always get current information online from www.cdc.gov/coronavirus and from the state of Florida at http://www.floridahealth.gov/diseases-and-conditions/COVID-19/
Governor DeSantis has also declared a state of emergency and advises any individuals who believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19 to contact their local county health department prior to travelling to any physician’s office, emergency department, hospital, or urgent care center to ensure proper protective measures are taken to prevent further risk of spread to others.
We are advising clients that we will do our best to refer caregivers to serve you for the hours we are authorized by you or your payer, but, we may have to adjust schedules and/or reduce hours of service in the future if we experience a shortage of caregivers. Now is the time for you to discuss your situation with family members, friends, neighbors or your medical professionals. Contact Us Today.
You and your caregiver can take precautions by frequently washing your hands with soap and water, not touching your face with your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, stay at home, avoid close contact with people who are sick and choose a room in your home to separate sick household members from those who are healthy.
